d. Mar 1, 2023
Yvette Bernice Morris was born in Freedman's Hospital in Washington, D.C., on May 12, 1952 to the late Harry Milton Morris and the late Yvonne Woolfolk Morris. To this union were born two children, Andre Morris who preceded her in death and Yvette Morris.
Yvette loved the Lord and engaged in talking about his goodness whenever she could. She attended church with her grandmother, Geneva Woolfolk when living in Virginia and later attended Bibleway Headquarters Church in Washington, D.C.
She attended school in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Calvin Cooledge High School. Yvette also graduated from Strayer College in Washington, D.C. and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Upon graduating from college, she was employed by the federal government, which is now Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
Yvette and her mother, Yvonne Morris enjoyed traveling together. They traveled to London, Hawaii, Jamaica, Haiti, Barbados, and many other places.
Yvette was very close to her grandmother, Geneva Woolfolk, who practically raised her. She also loved her mother and missed her after she died.
Yvette leaves to cherish her memory an uncle, Bernette Woolfolk (Sandra) of Spotsylvania, VA; an aunt, Bernice Vonderpool (Sylvon) of Washington, D.C.; an aunt, Myrtle Jackson of Louisa, VA; her sister-in-law, Gwen Morris, of Maryland; and a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM. The interment will be held at Branch Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
