Obituary

Tyrelle Donte' Lucas , age 18, departed this life on July 14, 2024. He was born to Michelle Benton on May 12, 2006, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Tyrelle attended James Monroe High School virtually. Later, he enrolled in Chancellor High School. Tyrelle decided that the traditional school setting was no longer conducive to meeting his needs. Therefore, he pursued his GED and earned his diploma at age 16. He worked at Dominio's Pizza shortly after graduating high school.

Tyrelle was a meek and quiet-natured individual who enjoyed helping others. He was an avid reader that loved researching stocks and bonds. In addition, he was fond of writing and formulating exciting sentences. Tyrelle shared with others that he was going to write a book. He also exhibited talent in drawing and would share his pictures when he was younger.

Tyrelle is survived by his loving mother, Michelle Benton, (Noah Lee Harley Sr.); his dedicated older brother, Rashawn Lucas; brothers, Israel Lucas, Trent Garrett, Legend, Harley, and Legacy Harley; sisters, Heaven Harley, and Treasure Harley; grandparents, Rev. Evg. William and Patricia Benton; aunts, Angel Benton, Carrie Guinn, LaVonnia, Guinn, and Barbara Guinn, uncles, Carlos Belen, Fate Guinn, Michael Guinn, and Wayne Benton; aunt, Alexis Benton; a nephew; several cousins; and a host of other relatives.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel at A. L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Glen Haven Memory Gardens. A repast will follow the interment at Hollywood Church of the Brethren, 225 Ferry Road, Fredericksburg, VA, 22405.
