Obituary

TyJohn Samuel Wolfrey was born on March 17, 2001, in Richmond, Virginia. God called him home in the early hours on Monday, May 8, 2023. TyJohn was taught the word of God at Land of Promise Church in Spotsylvania, Virginia. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his heart as his Lord and Savior at a young age. In 2017, he received his diploma from Leer Universal High School at the age of 17 years old.

TyJohn loved working with heavy equipment and various types of machinery. Where most people would have to be trained in this arena, this ability came naturally to TyJohn. He also had a passion for riding, whether it was a dirt bike, motorcycle, or a four-wheeler. If it had wheels on it, then TyJohn was sure to be able to drive it. Besides showcasing his talent to ride, TyJohn also loved to rap and was a natural comedian, or at least he thought he was. He loved to make people laugh and put a smile on someone's face. TyJohn was very family oriented and loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a way of drawing people towards him with his contagious affectionate spirit. TyJohn loved hard and he had a big heart, especially for those closest to him. He was especially crazy about his Papa!

TyJohn was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Fleming, and Joan Wolfrey, John and Ida Ferguson, Reverend Frank Dorsey, Jim, and Georgine Nearhoof, Malry, and Helen Minor, and Emmett, and Daisy Morris; stepsister, Makayla Carter; uncle, Secundino Rosario "JR", and best friend, Dominic Johnson "Dom".

TyJohn's memory will forever be in the hearts of his parents, John (Ashley) Wolfrey, Jr., and Tyshea Minor. He also leaves to cherish his memory six brothers, Tayvon Stokes, Taudg Minor, Tamoni Minor, Tamere Minor, Mason Wolfrey, and Malakhi Wolfrey; one sister, Tyana Herndon; grandparents, Dennis Minor, Darcella, and Randy Morris, Cathy, and John Wolfrey, Sr.; eight aunts, Renee (Anthony) Minor, Rachel Wolfrey, Roshelle (Sterling) Carter, Aryanna Carter, Kaycee Carter, Melissa (Rodney) White, Mary (Tom) Adams, Marlena McCoy, and Tammy Morris who was like an aunt; seven uncles, Roger (Melissa) Minor, Ashton Carter, Neisjah Morris, Dennis, Jr., Frank Minor, Charles Minor, and Anthony (Regina) Carter; special childhood and adult friends, Anna Davis, Cody Blair, and Jazmine Johnson; many nieces, nephews, great aunts, uncles, cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
