Obituary

Tiera Shanell Snowden , affectionately known as "T" or "Judy" was born on June 28, 1984, in Fredericksburg, VA, to Tracy Snowden-Parker and David Fortune. She suddenly departed this life on May 13, 2026.

Tiera received her education from the Fredericksburg City public school system and upon completion went on to pursue a career in the health care field as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Tiera was an outgoing person and had such a love for life. It was always displayed in her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She enjoyed singing, dancing and most of all, spending time with her friends and family. The bond between Tiera and her cousins was like no other, they were more like sisters and brothers than cousins. Tiera had the most beautiful bubbly spirit and a heart of gold. She would light up a room or event, the very moment she

walked in. If Tiera was in the area, you just knew that the jokes and laughs would be abundant. Tiera was loved and adored by many and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Mary Fortune, formerly of Milford, VA.

She leaves to cherish her memory, the three people she loved the most, her children, Tyonna Starkes, Nyla Snowden and Darrell Hunt III, all of Stafford, VA; her parents, Tracy Snowden-Parker of Stafford, VA and David Fortune (Debbie) of Locust Grove, VA; one grandchild, India Dior Smith of Stafford, VA; her maternal grandparents, Blanche Collins of Fredericksburg, VA and William Holmes (Barbara) of Spotsylvania, VA; her husband, Darrell Hunt, Jr. of Suitland, MD; her siblings, Michael Ayala of Highland Park, NJ and Daquan Snowden of Stafford, VA; her godmother, Lia Clayton of Stafford, VA; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, in-laws and a host of other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA, 22408, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. The inurnment will be held privately.
