Obituary

Tammy Moses Griffin departed this life on November 10, 2024, at her home. The daughter of the late Thomas Moses and Gladys Corine Griffin.  She was born in Fredericksburg, VA on May 22, 1962.  She was a 1980 graduate of Stafford Senior High in Stafford, Virginia.  She was baptized at the Union Bell Baptist Church in Falmouth, VA and was an active and devoted member, serving on numerous committees until her passing.

Upon graduation from high school she worked as a domesticate for several hotels. She also worked at Woodmont Nursing Home. Tammy was a caretaker for both her mother and sister when their health began to fail, and a caretaker for many members of her church family. A quiet and unassuming individual, she could also be very humorous. She enjoyed reading, watching her favorite shows, and spending time with family and friends. She was also a great cook, some of her specialties were potato salad, macaroni salad, and vegetable beef soup,

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, a devoted and loving sister, Karen "Teresa" Griffin, and several fond Aunts and Uncles. She is survived by two aunts, Marjorie and Lucille Griffin of Fredericksburg, VA: one uncle, Raymond Johnson of Spotsylvania, VA and a host of cousins and devoted friends.

Tammy was passionate about praying for others and was a loyal servant of God. Now that Tammy has passed into the arms of our Lord her physical life is over, but it is the beginning of a beautiful journey for her, though she will be sorely missed.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Hill Nelson Cemetery in Stafford, VA.
