Takeisha
King
d. Feb 14, 2026
Takeisha Lashae King , lovingly known as "Keisha" 37, passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2026. Her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but her love and vibrant spirit will remain with all who knew her.
Born on March 14, 1988, Keisha entered the world three months early, but as a premie she spent the rest of her life proving she was stronger than anything placed in front of her. From the very beginning, she showed determination. She faced life with boldness, never afraid to speak her mind. Her unfiltered honesty and natural sense of humor kept those around her laughing. Many conversations ended with someone simply saying, "Keisha....", but that was her.
On August 26, 2007, Keisha renewed her Christian faith and was baptized. After her baptism she continued her Christian walk and later joined New Vision Kingdom of God Ministries, where she worshipped alongside her mother and daughter.
Keisha had a deep love for music. Whether listening to her favorite artists, especially Rihanna and Britney Spears, or sharing the latest celebrity news, music was her joy and constant companion. She would even call just to say, "Hey, you know tomorrow is Rihanna's birthday," like it was a national holiday.
For eleven years, Keisha helped care for her grandfather and her great grandmother. That experience reflected a quieter side of Keisha, compassionate, dependable, and willing to show up for family. In 2022, Keisha became employed at Home Depot were she took pride in being helpful. If you needed anything, she would quickly say, "we got that" and we would laugh because somehow her job became everybody's job.
More than anything in this world, Keisha loved being a mother. Her daughter Kimora, was her heart and her greatest accomplishment. Kimora was proudly a momma's girl, and Keisha wore that title with pride and love. Everything she did, she did with her daughter in mind.
She shared a close strong and deeply loving bond with her mother, one that sometimes meant getting on each other's nerves, but was always rooted in love. Keisha cared for her mom so much that she secretly turned on the location on her phone for over a year without her realizing it, often checking in with "Mom, where you at? Get out the streets" just to make sure she was safe.
As the oldest sister, she was protective, sometimes a little extra protective, but that was how she loved. She cherished time with family and shared a special lifelong bond with her best friend, Moniela, whom she loved as a sister.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, Joseph Williams, Hope Williams, Melvin Jones and Vivian Jones; and her aunt, Jacqueline McCord.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Kimora King; her mother, Andrea Boone; her step-father, Richard Boone; her father, Anthony Jones; her sisters, Ashley Coleman (Matt), Hope McAllen, and Kendra Boone; her brother, Antonio Jones (Emily); her nieces and nephews, Londyn, Avanni, Elliana, Chyna, Aubrey, Mattisyn, Mileta, Vincenza, Nasir, Jovanni, and Khai; a special friend, Moniela; along with a host of cousins and dear friends.
Though she left this world far too soon, her laughter, her playlists, her bold honesty, her random updates and her pink loving spirit will live on in every story told about her and every song played a little louder in her honor.
