Starletta J. Moody (Lucas) accepted God's hand on August 4, 2024, at 10:01am at McLeod Regional Medical Center, located in Florence, SC, at the age of 64.

Starletta was born on December 19, 1959, to the late Newton and Lillie Mae Lucas. She would be the baby girl of the family and the feistiest by far! To know her was to know she loved in her own way, but she loved. She told it like it was. She was very strong minded. Starletta always professed her love for the Lord and until the end of her hard-fought battle knew he was her Lord and savior. Starletta will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Starletta was preceded in death by her parents, Newton and Lillie Mae Lucas and her mother-in-law, Lula Moody.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 29 years, Jetrow Moody; her son, Brandon L. Moody; her daughter, Lanique M.S. Fortune; her heart, her everything on earth, her grandson, Harlem E. Fortune- Davidson (whom she was known to as "NUNU"); her sister, Iris Keeves; her brother, Cortez Lucas; sister in law, Connie Moody; brother in laws, Griffin Moody, and Russell (Violet) Moody; her nieces, Monet Kay (Marcel), and Shatema Lucas; her nephews, Trey Keeve, Juan Lucas, and Rho Lucas; her ride or die best friends, Arlene "Cookie" Smith, and Bridgette Howard; a special Christian friend and family member, Brenda Brown; several aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews, cousins; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
