Stanley "Ray" Berryman, Sr. , lovingly known as Ray or Stan, age 66, of Woodford, VA, departed this life on the morning of Monday, July 28, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 10, 1958, in Fredericksburg, VA, and was educated in the Spotsylvania County School System.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Parker Berryman, Haywood Jackson, Sr., and Alfred Berryman, Sr.; as well as his brothers, Alfred Berryman, Jr. and Gregory Berryman.

Left to cherish his memory are his four beloved children, Keyttya Ennis, Sherri Berryman, Jennifer Berryman, and Stanley Berryman, Jr. (Carmel).  Also cherishing his memory are his ten grand-friends, Kendall Brown, Kisean Wright, Jade Berryman, Darrien Wright, Caprice Wright, Kamoni Davis, Moriah Wilson, Matthew Berryman, Messiah Davis, and Kamiah Davis. He is also survived by his devoted siblings, Rosie Harris, Myrtle Berryman, Patricia McKenney (Booker T), Geraldine Allen, Kenneth Jackson, Vernell Jackson (Rachel), Haywood Jackson, Jr. (Sharon), Theresa Candia (George), Nathaniel Jackson, Sr. (Thelma), Lorraine Whiting, Sheila Hamn (Leonard), Kelvin Jackson (Melissa), and Ronnie Berryman (Candice). He is also survived by two aunts, Juanita Cole and Theresa Parker.

He leaves behind a dear friend, Bonnie Readmond, and her daughter, Lacey Readmond, who held a special place in his heart.  He leaves behind fond memories with Nat & Fred; whether they were going for a quick meal, working on cars, or simply spending time together. Their friendship was a steady presence in his life and brought him much joy over the years.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service 11:00 AM. The interment will be held privately.
