Staci Lynn Benson-Core was born on November 16, 1979, to her mother, Jo Ann Benson-Browning. She departed this life on January 29, 2022, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg Virginia.

She attended Phelan California Public Schools, then joined the United States Navy and became an Information Systems Technician, specializing in Computer Communications Technology. She was assigned to the Pentagon in Arlington Virginia, where she became a September 11 ^th survivor. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, she dedicated her efforts to supporting the Government on various contracts, applying her advanced computer abilities.

Staci would give you the shirt off her back if necessary and was always there to lend an ear. Staci loved many things but most of all she loved her family, her children, her friends & her video games.

Staci leaves to cherish her memory to her children, Alexis, Priya, Corinne, and Dean; her mother, Jo Ann Benson-Browning; stepfather, Vernon Hansen; brother, David Browning; her aunt, Carol Vickers; uncle, Phillip Deppert; her niece, Alicia Coltrane; devoted friends, Aquie Nixon, Kristina Robinson, Tariq Harris, Calvin Murphy, and James Hancock (also known as Jersey), the Murphy Family, and the Rush family; her partner, Malakie Core and the Core family; numerous relatives and loving friends.

Staci's family extends heartfelt appreciation to her employer, Red Matter Solutions and her supervisor, Mr. Paul Oehling, for their generosity and support during this difficult time.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will be held privately.
