Rose V. Scott , 105, formerly of Hiller, PA, passed on January 14, 2022, in Virginia with her family by her side. She was born February 1, 1916, in Surrey County, VA, to the late Noah and Rosa Thomas.

Rose was a barber for many years and was affectionally known as "Miss Van Dee".

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Scott; an infant daughter, Gerald Dean; daughter, Queen E. Robinson; brother, Hugh Thomas; and sister, Betty Banes.

Rose loved the Lord and was happiest reading her bible and watching church services on television.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory to her loving children, Gloria Dean Brown of Virginia, Samuel Smith of Ohio, Fred Scott (Saundra) of Pennsylvania, Gwendolyn Scott or Virginia, and Tara Scott of Virginia; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM.
