Robert Grant Jr. , 69, of Fredericksburg, VA, departed this life on September 13, 2023, at his home, where he lived with his mother, Betty Jean Grant.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Gillean Grant, and his father, Robert Grant, Sr.

Robert attended Fredericksburg City Schools. He dedicated over 30 years of service as a Surgical Technician at Mary Washington Hospital. Robert was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy, where he served as a faithful Deacon. He never met a stranger. Every person, to him, was just a friend he hadn't met yet.

Robert is survived by his loving mother, Betty Jean Grant; two daughters, Talaya Jovan Grant, and Ebone Tierra Grant both of Houston, TX; two grandsons, David, and Tremayne (LT); and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
