Robert Louis Brown, Sr. , transitioned peacefully at home with his family on February 14, 2023.

Robert was born November 17, 1941, to the late Joseph and Nellie Brown of Catlett, VA (Sowego). He was 81 years old. He attended Fauquier County Public School. Robert was a professional Brickmason. Robert met the love of his life, Gloria Scroggins in 1963. In 1965 they were married. They were married for 58 years. During their marriage they conceived three children, which were also the love of his life. He loved them unconditionally.

He is preceded in death by siblings, Edward Brown, Joseph Brown, Thomas Brown (Olive), Steven Brown, Charles Brown, Clem Brown, Cecil Brown, Dewey Brown, Otis Brown, and Mable V. Brown.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Gloria; son, Robert Brown, Jr.; two daughters, Felicia Brown, and Glorine Hackett all of Culpeper, VA; as well as one sister, Nellie D. Hill of Sarasota, FL; his in-laws, Madeline Brown (Edward) of Stafford, VA; Clarice (Joseph) of Culpeper, VA; Earl Scroggins of Kansas City, KS; Sheila Chapman of Stafford, VA; June Reid of Stafford, VA; Julius Scroggins of Dumfries, VA, and Anthony Scroggins of Jacksonville, TN; three granddaughters, Vajalina, Josephine, and Diamond; one great-grandson, Devon; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Stafford Memorial Park.
