Phillip Gilberry , age 73, a longtime resident of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away on July 30, 2024. Phillip was born on April 19, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.

Phillip enjoyed life's moments most when surrounded by those he loved. His joy for partying and spending time with friends and family was a hallmark of his vibrant personality. He loved to host cookouts and he will forever be remembered for his famous barbeque ribs, his amazing soul music playlist, and his horseshoe skills. When he wasn't grilling, you'd find him out cruising with friends on his prized Harley-Davidson. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who knew him.

Phillip was preceded in death by his beloved late wife, Annie Laura Gilberry.

Phillip is survived by his two sons, Wendell Gilberry and Jerome Gilberry; daughter's in law, Brandy Gilberry and Heather Gilberry; his cherished grandchildren, Nia, Alicia, Alyah, Liliana, Jasmine, and Tiffanii; his beloved great-grandchildren, Salayah, Amyah, Myleah, Dylan, Robin, Kaden, Jaden, Kimora, and Matthew.

A graveside service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
