Pearl
Parker
d. Nov 11, 2022
Mrs. Pearl Marguerite Parker , 87, departed this life on November 11, 2022, at Carriage Hill Health and Rehab Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Pearl was born on January 16, 1935, in Stafford, Virginia, to the late Fred Allen, Sr., and Margaret Allen.
Mama Pearl affectionately known as "PMP" was a wise, determined, courageous, and lovable lady. She loved her family dearly, and her love was unconditional. Pearl stressed the importance of family and supporting each other during good and bad times, and more importantly, having faith in God. She loved family gatherings and would always cut a step to the music. Her favorite hobby was making quilts for the family, and she enjoyed preparing delicious Sunday dinners after church.
She would not want you to dwell upon her death but celebrate her life. Why cry for a soul set free? For this is a journey we must take, and each must go alone. It is all part of the master's plan, a step on the road to home. Her memory will live forever.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Parker; daughter, Phyllis M. Parker; and grandson, Hobart M. Parker, Jr.; three sisters, Elouise Johnson, Pauline Johnson, and Caroline Woodward; two brothers, Fred Oliver Allen, Jr., and Earnest Allen.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Pearl P. Brown (Victor) and Yvonne A. Hare (William); four sons, Richard H. Parker (Yvette), Frank O. Parker, Hobart M. Parker, and Anthony S. Parker (Mona); twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one step grandson; one god grandson; three brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; James L. Parker (Ann), Clinton Parker, Nancy Parker, and Betty Allen (Marshall); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.
A viewing will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, in Stafford, VA.
