Deaconess Emeritus Peachie V. Scranage went to be with Jesus peacefully at her home on August 5, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Eathel Frye.

Mrs. Scranage was a retired cafeteria cook for King George County Public Schools. She also served as a dedicated usher, and choir member at her church until her health declined.

She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Clarence Scranage, Sr.

Mrs. Scranage leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Evangeline Moore (Anthony); her son, Clarence, Jr. (Cheryl); one sister, Margaret Hill; great grandson, Terrance; four granddaughters, Alexia (Ronnie), Veronica, Clarissa, and Chloé; several nieces, and nephews; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A viewing will be held at First Baptist Church Ambar, 9469 Caledon Road, King George, VA, 22485, on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.  The interment will follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery.
