Patricia Brena Howard , affectionally known as "Pat," was born on Sunday, August 6, 1961, in Caroline County, Virginia. She transitioned peacefully to be with the Lord at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia on Monday, December 29, 2025.

Patricia was the daughter of the late Lillie Bernice Jones Howard and Emmit Gregory Howard; she attended Caroline County Public Schools. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined the band of Christians at Macedonia Baptist Church in Woodford, VA. During her lifetime, she had a long and dedicated career in the food service industry.

Preceding her in death were her wonderful parents, Emmit and Bernice Howard; a beautiful niece, Shavonne La'Tresse Howard, affectionately known as "Bookey"; all four of her siblings —- two sisters, Pauline V. Howard, affectionately known as "Lady"; and Vivian S. Howard, affectionately known as "BG or Babygirl", two brothers, Gregory B. Howard, Sr., and Emmitt M. Howard; two loving aunts, Nannie (Mack) Walker and Delores (Preston, Sr.) Coleman; one uncle, Eugene (Ella) Jones; and four first cousins Roger "Bookman" of Fredericksburg, William "Magoo" of Bowling Green, Gilbert of Richmond, Annessa and Andrea "Annie" both of Michigan.

Leaving to cherish her memory are one loving son, Dr. DeAndre T. Howard; three devoted nephews, Quincy O. Howard of Woodford, VA, Gregory B. Howard, Jr. and Xavier M. Reynolds of Spotsylvania, VA; one niece, Ashley Howard; five great nieces who loved her dearly; Kayla, La'Tresse, Tayler, Jalaya, and Haven; one aunt, Pearl Henderson (Lee) of Bridgeport, MI; eight first cousins Berdina (Mike) of Fayetteville, NC; Thomas (Zeta), Betsy, Preston, "Jr." all of Woodford, VA; Vashti (Larry) of Fredericksburg, VA; Stephanie, Latrell and Lethaniel all of Michigan; a very special friend and cousin, Juanita S. Horn, (who serves as DeAndre's Godmother) of Woodford, VA, and a host of loving family members, relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church, 7187 Macedonia Road, Woodford, VA, 22580, on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Mt. Lawn Cemetery, 9316 Woodford Road, Woodford, VA 22580.
