Odell Virginia
Juggins
d. Oct 25, 2022
Odell Virginia Juggins was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 25, 2022, with her family nearby at the Sentara Hospital Woodbridge, Virginia. Odell V. Juggins was born on November 25, 1953, to the late Shederick Washington Sr. and Carrie Mae Gibson. She was married to Andrew Juggins, Jr. for 42 years.
She attended Stafford County Public Schools and graduated from Stafford High School, Stafford, Virginia.
Odell V. Juggins accepted Christ at a very young age, after baptism she became a member of Little Forest Baptist Church, Stafford, Virginia. As a dedicated member of Little Forest Baptist Church, she served in whatever ministry she believed the Lord called her to serve. Throughout her fellowship with Little Forest Baptist Church, she was a rock-solid vocalist that would sing any spiritual, as though it was written just for her. She didn't just sing in various choirs, she also put her hands to work for the Lord within the Women's Ministry, Outreach Ministry, New Membership Ministry, Prison Ministry and on May 1, 2005, she was consecrated to serve as a Deaconess. In September 2016, after her husband's installation as Pastor of Canaan Baptist Church, she committed afresh to serve along side her husband at Canaan Baptist Church. First Lady Juggins firmly believed the greatest fulfillment and accomplishment in life was a committed and maturing walk of faith to trust in the Lord. First Lady Juggins, along with her signature blonde hair and style of dress was always to the nines. She was a village mother and auntie to so many, she could be counted on to set you straight and then give you a hug.
Throughout her years of employment, she always knew the right balance of time, to be a wife, raising her children and loving on her grandbabies. She enjoyed family gatherings and could always be counted on to cook enough food for everyone to delight in. Her signature dish of collard greens and potato salad were always requested at every family event.
To forever cherish her memories; her husband, Pastor Andrew Juggins Jr., two sons Darsell Juggins (Tiffany) and Eric Juggins, three daughters Sharnita Juggins (Glenn Willison), Ylena Juggins Valdez (Uriah) and Ronetta Washington; five sisters Elizabeth Holmes (Mint), Diane Gibson (Roland Chapman), Ella Washington (Ellie), preceded in death are Ester (Ann) Washington and Marie Washington, five brothers Clinton Washington, Raymond Gibson (Beverly (Genie), Ernest Gibson, George Gibson (Linda), Shederick (Gene) Washington, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews who truly adored and loved her deeply.
