It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Nova Jane (Barker) Parker on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the age of 92. Mom was such an incredible person—a woman of faith, kind, funny, and full of life. It's hard to imagine life without her.

There are so many reasons for us to be thankful to God for blessing us with "OUR" wonderful mother. Mom was amazing in raising us and made many sacrifices for all of us.  We have never gone hungry; we've always been safe with a warm home to live in filled with an abundance of love. Mom's highest honor was raising her children. She was always there when we needed her with the unwaveringutmost support.

She was a phenomenal woman and an amazing mother dearest to us all. We stand in complete honor of who she was as a person, her faith in GOD, her strength and the love for her family. She instilled in us values, wisdom, and knowledge that prepared us to stand proud today. Mom, we are your legacy and we all can say with fond memories job well done!

Mom leaves behind her six children, Linda Parker Long, Jacqueline Parker, Michelle Parker Jones, Monette Parker Cumby, Leticia Norwood, Rachelle Parker.  She also is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Wilbur and Estella Mae Barker, brother Gary Ashbrook, our loving father and husband Ralph Nathan Parker, grandson Cameron Long, and infant great-grandson Devon Jones.

Thank you for keeping mom and our family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
