Nannie
Wright
d. Oct 8, 2022
Nannie Mae Wright was born to the late James and Nannie Jessie Jackson in Caroline County, Virginia. Nannie Mae took her eternal rest on October 8, 2022, after a long battle with dementia.
She earned her education in Caroline County, where she met her husband of 61 years, Donald E. Wright. She joined Beulah Baptist Church at a young age. The two of them were married on June 20, 1962, and from this union three children were born, Sandra, Angela, and Jamie.
Nannie was employed for 30 plus years and retired from Mclean Food Distribution Center in 1999.
Nannie always enjoyed participating in the culinary committee, but once she retired, she took a more active role at Beulah. She served during homecoming, church anniversaries, and vacation bible school. She often attended church with her daughters and husband. Nannie loved to go to church, cook for her family, and play cards with friends. Her laughter, sense of humor and love will be missed by her family greatly.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Evelyn, and Barbara Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Donald Wright; daughters, Sandra Younger, and Angela (Coy) Crutchfield; her son, Jamie ( Johnsie) Wright; grandchildren, Bryan (Krystal) Crutchfield, Sade (Wayne) Pinkney, Daquan (Kate) Minor, and Timothy (Sade) Jackson; seven great grandchildren; her brothers, James Jackson, Jr., Alphonso (Christine) Jackson, Russell (Vanessa) Jackson, Lewis (Jackie) Jackson; her sister, Julia Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
