Obituary

Myers Wilson Kendricks was born on August 14, 1961, in Meridian, Mississippi. His earthly journey came to a close on November 16, 2025, at the age of sixty-four.

Myers spent his early years in Meridian, Mississippi. Following the passing of his mother, he moved to Spotsylvania, Virginia, where he completed his education and graduated from Spotsylvania High School in 1979. Shortly after graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army. Myers proudly served for eleven years and continued his dedication to service in the Army Reserves in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was later employed with Soft Touch Cleaning Services, LLC, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and warm presence.

Myers lived a life full of passion, joy, and connection. He was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan and loved spending weekends watching football. During NCAA basketball season, especially March Madness, he proudly rooted for his longtime favorite team, the UNC Tar Heels. He enjoyed taking road trips to visit family and friends across Mississippi, North Carolina, Detroit, Maryland, and Georgia, never missing a chance to reconnect and share laughter.

On his daily commutes, Myers loved listening to XM Radio, especially Urban View Radio with host Karen Hunter. He also enjoyed talking to family and friends during his long drives to and from work. Myers was also known for his incredible grilling skills and was always ready to fire up the grill for family reunions and cookouts. Whether playing Dominoes, Spades, Bid Wiz, or Phase 10, his playful humor and competitive nature always lit up the room.

Myers will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, strong spirit, sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely. His life was a testament to family, service, and joy. Myers presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Myers was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Wilson Kendricks; his father, Freddie T. McCoy, Sr.; his siblings, Willie J. Kendricks, Katie K. Manning, Lois "DK" Kendricks, Roosevelt "Woodie" Kendricks, Calvin Kendricks, and Larry McCoy, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Eddie Lee Naylor, Sr.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of forty-three years, Angela C. Kendricks; his three daughters, Jessica Jennings Wilson (Ricco) of Atlanta, GA, Shtoria Robinson of Gulfport, MS, and Shawna Monique Kendricks of Spotsylvania, VA; his five beloved granddaughters, Azaria Lett, Maliyah Lett, Addison Wilson, Rhoman Wilson, and Brityn Davis; one bonus grandson, Jairh Davis; his siblings, Robert Kendricks (Dianna) of Meridian, MS, Lottie Naylor of Garner, NC, Freddie T.
