Obituary

On March 5, 2022, Mickey Triplett entered into eternal rest. Mickey was born August 4, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Luther and Stella Mae Triplett.

Mickey confessed faith in Christ at Unity Baptist Church, Detroit Michigan and united with Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Triangle Virginia after moving from Michigan. Mickey accepted his calling into the ministry at Shiloh Temple of Praise in Stafford, Virginia where he was a member until his passing. It was there he accepted his calling into the ministry. He began preaching the gospel and singing. His favorite song was Everybody Ought to Praise His Name by the Mighty Clouds of Joy.

Mickey received his education at Northwestern High School. Mickey joined and served proudly in the United States Marine Corp for four years. After honorable discharge, he furthered his career with the Department of Corrections as a corrections officer for several years until his health would not allow him to continue working.

Mickey was one who loved fishing and spent most of his time on a fishing bank. He was also one who believed that "one man's junk is another man's treasure." If he found it, he could sell it.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Stella Triplett; his brothers, Larry Triplett, Kenneth Triplett, Dwayne Triplett and Jerome Triplett.

His memories are left to be cherished by his children, Jessica Triplett, Melesha Triplett (Joyce Tyler), and Noah Triplett (Jennifer Stanley) of Virginia; one granddaughter, Ci'yonna Wilkins; his siblings, Laura Beverly (Ellis), Luther Triplett, Jr., Brenda Triplett, Tracey Triplett, Shawn Triplett, and Ricky Triplett all of Detroit, Michigan; and a host other relatives and friends.

No more diabetes. No more finger sticks or amputations. No more insulin, trips to the doctor or hospital stays. You are now healed beloved father, brother, and grandfather. Rest in peace with the Lord Mickey.
