Mary Frances Strader , 84 of Fredericksburg, VA, peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Carriage Hill Health & Rehab Center.

Mary Frances Strader was born on October 12, 1941, to the late John Boone and Nellie (Smith) Parker in Caroline County.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Strader; stepfather, James Robert Parker; and siblings, Steve Boone, Margaret Lewis and Clariest Lewis.

Mary is survived by her children; a son, Michael E. Strader and a daughter Pamela M. Strader both of Fredericksburg, VA; one grandson, Jamal C. Strader of Fredericksburg, VA; two granddaughters, Kiera Syrkes of Richmond, VA and Brittany F. Strader of Fredericksburg, VA; one brother, John Boone (Mary) of Spotsylvania, VA and one sister, Nellie Lucille Harrison (Billy) of Spotsylvania, VA; one sister-in-law, Thelma Boone of Ruther Glen, VA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
