Mary Etta Allen Brown , 89, of Stafford VA, transitioned on April 28, 2022. Mary was born in Skipwith, VA, on May 11, 1932, she was the ninth of ten children to the late Isaac Allen and Cora Hutcheson Allen. At an early age she accepted the Lord Jesus as her savior.

Mary was educated in the public schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, and later went on to become a proud graduate of Barber-Scotia College in Concord NC. Following college, she was a dedicated and passionate social worker for New York City. While living in New York City, Mary was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church, in White Plains NY, where she served as Treasurer. After retiring from serving New York City for over 20 years, she relocated to Virginia to be near her family. One of her favorite activities was spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends for "First Sunday" dinners where she was affectionately known as "the Queen".

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her son, Errol Stanley Brown (Mary) of Newport News VA, and her daughter, Saundra Oliver (Samuel) of Stafford VA; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews, and a vast number of loving relatives and friends.

All services will be held privately.
