Marlo
Brown-Carpenter
d. Apr 30, 2022
Marlo Artise Brown-Carpenter , 55, of Woodford, Virginia, passed away after a strong battle with cancer on April 30, 2022.
Marlo is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Ernest Hawkins and Marie Hawkins, her paternal grandparents, George Reid and Viola Reid and her sister, Kimberly Gardner.
Marlo also known as "Molly B" and/or "Sunshine" was born December 3, 1966, in Stafford. Marlo lived in Maryland for quite some time before returning to Virginia to reside. Marlo played sports all throughout school and continued to play softball for many years as an adult. She was a humble, beautiful soul inside and out with a generous heart of gold, never hesitating to help people out. Because of her kind spirit, her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews adored her along with the children of her close friends which were more like family.
She was a "daddy's girl," who found a love for motorcycles due to her admiration and love for him. She went on to become the Co-Founder of her own bike club, "N-Control Riders" alongside her husband and Uncle Mutt. Marlo was also a lover of music and was no stranger to the dance floor. She was someone who enjoyed having fun and living life with the people she cared for and loved.
Marlo leaves us with plenty of great memories and an example of what it means to be a good human being and make your mark while on this earth.
Left to cherish her memories is her devoted husband, Michael Christopher Carpenter, loving parents, Nathan (Thelma) Brown and Delores Brown, as well beloved in-laws, Robert and Barbara Carpenter. Her sons who loved her with all their heart, Duante' Brown, Michael A. (Shammi) Carpenter, and Christopher Carpenter. She is also survived by four sisters, Sheena Parker, Marilyn Terrell, Zelda (James) Fields and Pam Carpenter; two brothers, Gregory Stewart, and Derrick (Kym) Carpenter. "Mema" of Ky'mani, Azai, Monroe, Akeem and Kiyomi whom all loved her dearly. A host of nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, a god daughter, a best friend, Tiffany Edwards-Wheeler, childhood friends who became "sisters and brothers", a bonus mother, "Momma P", a childhood friend, cousin, and caregiver, Edith Alsop who was a tremendous help to her and continues to be one to the family and other relatives, and friends.
