Margaret
Myers
d. Mar 24, 2024
Margaret Marie Myers, 78, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, took God's hand to begin her well-deserved journey to eternity on March 24, 2024, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend.
Margaret was born on August 25, 1945, in Stafford, Virgina to the late James Brown and Annie Baylor Brown. Margaret lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. She was known for her warm smile, gentle demeanor, and unwavering love for family.
Margaret worked in the customer service sector for years where she was respected for her dedication and excellent work ethic. She approached every task with diligence and integrity, leaving an impression on all who had the pleasure of working with her.
Margaret, also known as "Moochie" genuinely believed in the importance and value of family. She enjoyed hosting gatherings where her display of love could be experienced through tasty food or acts of kindness. Her kindness was shown in ways that allowed her family and friends to thrive.
Although small in stature, Margaret felt no situation was too big to tackle, be it hosting large family and friend gatherings, providing a place to stay or providing encouraging words. Even as her health was declining, she still found the strength and strong will to show love. Margaret accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, therefore we celebrate her entrance into the kingdom.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Myers; her parents, James Brown and Annie Baylor Brown; sisters Elizabeth Turner and Gloria Lewis; brother, James Brown; brothers-in-law, Hashmel Turner, Sr., and Joesph Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Margo Brown Bumbrey (Dorsey), Spotsylvania, Virginia, Percell Cole (Delphine), Stafford, Virginia, and Palmer Cole, Spotsylvania, Virginia; two brothers, Charles Brown (Ronetta), Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Ronald Brown (Mable) Fredericksburg, Virginia; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; devoted friend, Lenora Foxx; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at the Brown Family Cemetery, Rocky Run Road, Fredericksburg, VA, 22406.
