Obituary

Linda P. Robinson was born on November 17, 1949 and passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband, and daughters on March 4, 2023, after her 11-year courageous battle fighting cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, James Steward, and Mattie Mae Ferguson, and an older brother, Milton Frye.

In the summer of 1963, Linda would meet her high school sweetheart, Clarence. The story Linda would often tell is how they met in the movie, and how she crafted a plan to have Clarence locate her home so that he might visit her in the future. Her plan worked and a few months later they were dating.

Fast forward to August 21, 1971, when Linda and Clarence were married, and they moved to Towson, MD. In August 1973, Tamara Nachea was born. Linda soon met Rose Thompson and Linda Boyd. The bond that formed between these three ladies endured for more than 50 years and remained strong up until Linda's passing. In 1978, Clarence and Linda had their second child, Trina Nicol.

In 1985, Linda and the family returned home to Fredericksburg. Linda was a licensed Esthetician, and she opened her own business, Mystique Skin Care, located on George Street. In 1989, she became a licensed Real Estate Agent. She also worked at Employment Resources Incorporated as a Job Coordinator assisting student program participants secure acceptable work assignments.

Linda enjoyed traveling and spending time with her daughters, family, and friends. She would schedule trips and visits with family and friends around her chemo treatments. She often worked with the scheduling staff at the physician's office to arrange to have her scheduled chemo appointments identified several months in advance so she could plan her social outings. When she turned that southern charm on it was difficult to refuse her. Somehow, she always got her way with the scheduling request.

Linda continued to enjoy her life and she stayed active. She loved to attend concerts in Atlantic City, NJ. She met Lionel Ritchie at the Borgata and John Legend at the National Harbor during two of her different trips. She enjoyed playing cards on Friday nights, going shopping, taking summer vacations, weekend getaways, and visiting new places. She also liked to attend football and basketball games to see her grandson play.

Linda truly loved her family. She was so grateful for her daughters who she would refer to as her angels. She looked forward to her evening visits from her grandson RJ. She loved and appreciated her husband, Clarence, for over 51 years. Over the last five years of her life, Clarence would accompany Linda to multiple doctor appointments, and/or infusion appointments on multiple days of the week.

Linda is survived by her husband, Clarence; two children, Tamara Robinson (Romel Turner), and Trina Bellamy (Calvin); a grandson, Romel Turner, Jr.; two sisters, Joycelyn Woodard (Marshall), and Mary Williams; one brother, Charlie Frye; aunts, Barbara Ann Bates (Nilon), Cora Ferguson, and Brenda Ferguson; uncles, Charles Ferguson (Dorothy), and Dennis Ferguson (Emily); bonus grandchildren, Caprice, Marcus, and Diamonique Bellamy; one bonus great-grand daughter, Reagan Saunders; two godchildren, Morgan Moore, and Andrew Brown. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a special grand dog, RALPH.
