Linda L. Carter , 65, transitioned peacefully at her home on June 8, 2022.

Linda touched so many lives. She was loved by everyone that came in contact with her. To know her was to love her.

Linda leaves to cherish her memories to a devoted companion of 20+ years, James Johnson; a loving son, Shawn Carter (Toni ); a dedicated daughter, Rebecca Carter; three adored grandchildren, Quartez Carter (Chelsea), Shawn Michael Carter (Brandon), and Jasmine Waller; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. All flowers may be sent to A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA, 22408. The interment will follow at the Carter Family in Bumpass, VA.
