Lestine Ford Gaskins was called home on December 22, 2021, at the age of 70. Lestine was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister. and friend.

Lestine Ford Gaskins was born on September 11, 1951 to Edward Wilson Gaskins, Jr. and Lucille Elizabeth Gaskins.

After graduating from Osbourn High School, Lestine began working at IBM. Lestine was outgoing and enjoyed cooking, dancing and wearing her big fancy hats. Lestine loved spending time with her beloved son, Reco and her grandchildren.

Lestine was preceded in death by her parents, Edwards and Lucille Gaskins; husband, Samuel Richard Ford; brother, Charles Robert Gaskins; sister, Peggy Ann Skinner.

Lestine is survived by her loving son, Reco Gaskins; brothers, Edwards Gaskins, III, Ernest Gaskins, Aubrey Gaskins, Eric Gaskins (Michelle), Nathaniel Gaskins, and Albert Gaskins; sisters, Mary Washington (Carl), Sharon Gaskins, Karen Jenkins (Darly), and Patty Gaskins; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. The interment will be held privately.
