Obituary

Larry Levi Ware was born February 26, 1952, to Amos and Ruby Ware. He was called "home" by his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 10, 2022, after a two-year battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

He was affectionally known as Larry, Bay-Boy, Jelly-Belly, but more than any of those, he was well known as "WARE" . Larry was educated in the Fredericksburg City School System and later joined the United States Marine Corp. Larry was an outdoors person, which lead to many employment opportunities in the maintenance field.

Larry enjoyed being around people, talking and laughing, all while drinking a fresh hot cup of Columbian coffee. His love for animals, especially dogs was evident as you would often find him walking his own beloved "Bo", or a neighbor's dog. His favorite past times included watching westerns and washing and keeping his vehicles spotless. He was a die-hard Washington Redskins (now The Washington Commanders) fan. Larry was very well known in the community. He had many friends near and far; he will truly be missed.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Ruby Ware, brother Amos (Nobby) Ware, Jr., sister Nannie (Baby-Girl) Ware, two brothers-in-law, James Pierce, Jr. and Harvey Lee Wilson; three nephews, Anthony Barleston, Cornelius Wilson and Harvey Antonio Wilson; and his beloved dog companion, "Bo".

He leaves to cherish his memory, four sons, Larry Williams, Syie Maurice Prince Ware, Jeremiah Toles, Marcus Williams; one daughter, Lakeisha Willis; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Pierce and Peggy Wilson; one special nephew, Frank (Chava) Ware; four nephews, Trent Ware, Robert Colter III, Chester (Linda) Pratt, and Michael (Sylvia) Barleston, Sr.; six nieces, Aretha Pratt, O'lisa Cabarris, Adreka (Lloyd)Pierce-Johnson, Monique Pierce, Ashiya Pierce, and Tamira Wilson; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Larry enjoyed the company of all his friends, but also leaves three special friends, Tommy Sprow, Anthony Jones and James "Luke" Lucas.
