Kevin
Waters
d. Dec 28, 2024
A devoted husband and loving father, Kevin Leonard Waters, 71, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston MA, to the late Leila Coggins Waters and Marion Maxwell Waters, he was the second of five children. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Harris Waters, and son, Raymond Maxwell Waters. Cherishing precious memories is one sister; Rhonda Waters (Bonnie) of McDonough GA; three brothers Arnette Waters of Herndon VA; Darrell Waters of Boston MA; David Waters (deceased) and sister-in-law Janice of Randolph MA. He also leaves two brothers-in-law: Raymond Harris (Darleen) and Anthony Harris (Carolyn), along with two nieces Lauryn Waters and Andrea Harris, two godsons Brian and Jordan Walker, and other relatives and lifelong friends.
In his early years, Kevin was a member of the Tremont Street Methodist Church and later attended Columbus Avenue AME Zion Church, where his passion for the Lord flourished. After marrying, Kevin and Margaret relocated to Reston from Boston in 1996, and he joined Heritage Fellowship Church. At Heritage, Kevin actively participated by serving on the finance committee and aiding with the Brothers' Fun Camp. During his youth, he played bass guitar in a band and briefly attended Berklee College of Music. In retirement, he envisioned forming another band, which he planned to name "The Old Geezers".
Kevin graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood MA, Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy MA and received his MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Recently retired, Kevin was a devoted Account Manager at General Motors Financial, where he consistently ranked in the top five in sales within his division. He was well-known for his enthusiasm for the New England Patriots, his passion for scuba diving, and his talent for playing the bass guitar. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Kevin often spoke about the mark he wished to leave behind, wanting to be remembered for his commitment as a husband and father. He loved his family deeply, and while his battle to stay with them was difficult, God loved him best and he is now at peace at His side.
