Joseph Bernard Coleman III, 68, passed away unexpectedly at his home, in Spotsylvania, VA, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Joseph worked for many years at Ryan Homes, Printpack (retired), and Hardees (retired). He enjoyed riding the FRED to the library, cooking, and watching HGTV in his retired years. Joseph taught himself woodworking and many crafts. He became a member of Sylvannah Baptist Church at an early age and always gave to those in need. Joseph will be missed throughout the county for his friendly ways.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Coleman, Jr., and brother, Robert Coleman.

Joseph leaves to mourn his loss, his siblings, Marilyn Banks (Thurman) and Charles Coleman (Diane); several nieces, nephews, many close friends, and relatives. He was deeply loved by his family and friends.

A homegoing service will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA, 22408 at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 6, 2023, officiated by Reverend Dennis Woodard. The interment will follow at Sylvannah Baptist Church Cemetery.
