Ivy Browne , 85, of Stafford, VA, departed this life on March 31, 2023. She was born on February 10, 1938, and raised in St. Ann Jamaica. Ivy was born to Cleon and Rebecca Johnson.

As an adult in her early years, she immigrated to America and settled in Brooklyn, NY. Having an aptitude for the medical field, she obtained a nursing degree from the City University of New York (CUNY) and worked as a nurse in several New York City hospitals along with other opportunities. Ivy was intricately involved in the church community where she assisted in many activities. She was also an avid traveler and visited many places.

Ivy's memory will live on through her children, the countless lives she touched during her nursing career, and the many people who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of experiencing her kindness and dedication.

Ivy leaves a loving legacy to her children, Jacqueline, Rohan, and Andrew; her grandchildren, Anthony, Sade, Rohan, Jr., Zoey, and Maya; her siblings Una, and Justin; and a host of other relatives.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM. The interment will follow at Stafford Memorial Park.
