Herbert Leon Smith , 87, of Fredericksburg, VA, departed this life on October 27, 2022, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his son, Stacy.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Alice; seven children, Ricky, Tony, Fonda, Felicia, Angela and Doremus; and a host of other relatives.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA, 22408, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. The interment will follow at H.L. Brown Family Cemetery in Cedon, VA.
