Retired Air Force Master Sergeant, Godfrey Blackstone , 96, of Locust Grove, VA, received his wings on December 17, 2021.

On September 12, 1925, Godfrey was born in Annapolis, MD, to the late Lawrence and Lovey Blackstone.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Carmela Blackstone; four brothers, Edward Carrol, Charles Jerimiah, James, and Alfred Blackstone; four sisters, Elizabeth Andrews, Lovie Jacobs, Frances Holmes, and Teresa Calvin.

Godfrey is survived by his loving sister, Delores Cole; son, Andres Blackstone; his caregiver; family cats; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

A viewing will be held at William Reese & Sons Mortuary, 1922 Forest Dr, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM followed by the interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032 at 1:45 PM.
