Fred
Reid
d. Feb 8, 2022
On February 3, 2022, Fred Joseph Reid peacefully entered into eternal rest at the age of 80 at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge Virginia.
Fred was born on August 16, 1941, in Dumfries Virginia. He was educated in the Prince William County school system. He worked as a concrete finisher for William A. Hazel Construction Company in Northern Virginia for many years. Fred was a special person who touched everyone he encountered, always offering his wisdom, love, and understanding. He was a humble and kind-hearted soul.
Fred "Bubby" loved outdoor activities of all kinds especially riding motorcycles with members of the Soul on Wheels Motorcycle Club, race car driving in Harry Hippi at Summerduck Dragway and Old Dominion Speedway, and hunting. He loved to do complete auto restorations and artwork including drawing, painting, and sketching. He was known as the life of the party, the first person on the dance floor and the last one off. He enjoyed visiting his grandchildren, spending time with family and friends, and watching old western movies. In his later years he gave his life to the lord. His wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchild were the lights of his life. Papa, as they lovingly called him, will truly be missed.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Alder Reid and Annie Thomas Reid, and sister Virginia Holloway.
He is survived by his loving wife, Estelle "Rainy" Reid for over 50 years; his children, Consheenia Thibodeaux (Dale) and Terrace Reid; a father to Joseph Harris; grandchildren, Antavas Thibodeaux, Demetri' Jones, and Rayshawn, Tamari, and Jovani Reid, Samone, Celeste, Joslynn, and Janae Harris; great grandchild; Ronan Harris. He is also survived by his sister Alice Johnson. Fred leaves to cherish his memory to, Deanna and Ziggy Kedzierski, whom he was a grandfather to, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
