Frank Stevenson Parker
January 12, 1946 – July 5, 2025
Frank Stevenson Parker, 79, of Fredericksburg, VA, went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2025.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 12, 1946, and was raised in Portsmouth, VA and lived a life marked by faith, service, and love for others. A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Frank later dedicated his career to the United States Postal Service, where he became a familiar and friendly face in the community. Whether he was serving his country, his coworkers, or his neighbors, Frank always showed up with kindness, humility, and a warm smile.
Frank was a devoted husband to Patricia and a loving father to his children, Daryl and Stephanie. He is also survived by his sisters, Josephine McClain and Alvera Deloatch, as well as many beloved family members, including nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He cherished family gatherings—especially the reunions where laughter flowed freely and memories were made. He also found great joy in serving as an usher at Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site), where he warmly welcomed everyone through the church doors as if they were family. Frank truly loved the Lord and lived out his faith with quiet strength and steady grace. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering faith that continues in the lives of all who knew him.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM, both at Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site) in Fredericksburg, VA (525 Princess Anne Street). A repast will immediately follow the service, to be held at the church. After the repast, Frank will be laid to rest with military honors at Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172).
