Frances Loretta Jones , 83, departed this life on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, with her family by her side.

Frances was born September 28, 1938, in Spotsylvania, VA, to Lafayette and Hattie Williams. She graduated from John J. Wright School and attended Second New Hope Baptist Church.

On September 29, 1957, Frances married the love of her life, Harvey Orvell Davis Jones, Sr. From this union, the couple were blessed with four children Kelvin, Debra, Janice, and Harvey.

While Frances worked in the service industry for a short period of time, she found her calling to be a caregiver. She spent most of her years caring for not only her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, but also numerous other family members and friends. She was known as "grandma" to many.

Frances spent the last years of her life residing with her daughter, Janice, where she was constantly surrounded by her beloved family. Frances will be remembered by her loving and completely selfless spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Jones, Sr.; son, Kelvin Jones; sister, Clarice Terrell.

Frances is survived by her children, Debra Jones, Janice Jones, and Harvey Jones, Jr., all of Spotsylvania, VA, as well as her two sisters, Helen Coleman and Alice Fletcher of Spotsylvania, VA, 8 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews; and a host of other relatives.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
