Faye
Lindsey
d. Dec 2, 2025
With deep love and profound sorrow, the family of Faye Lindsey , 62, of Fredericksburg, VA, announces her homegoing on December 2, 2025. Born in the Bronx, NY, to Doretha Scott and Russell Sawyer, Faye lived a life shaped by faith, courage, and a steadfast commitment to serving others.
Faye began her distinguished career as an officer with the New York Police Department, serving the city she loved with strength, compassion, and dedication. Her hard work, integrity, and unwavering sense of justice led to her promotion to Detective 3rd Grade, a role in which she continued to protect and uplift her community until her retirement. Before retiring, Faye provided critical assistance and support during the September 11th tragedy. Her service was not just a profession; it was a calling she lived out with honor.
Beyond her badge, Faye's heart belonged to her family, her church, and her Lord. She was a woman of prayer, a gentle encourager, and a faithful servant whose life reflected the love of Christ. Her passions included spending time with her family and grandchildren, serving in her church, helping anyone in need, and experiencing the beauty of God's world through travel. Everyone who knew Faye felt the warmth of her spirit and the sincerity of her kindness.
