Doris Anita McPhail , 56, of Alexandria, VA, departed this life on July 7, 2022, just eight days shy of her fifty-seventh birthday.

She was born on July 15, 1965. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, June, and Roosevelt McPhail.

During her childhood, Doris was baptized as a Christian. She received her GED then went onto attend cosmetology school. Despite being disabled early in life, she persevered. Doris was a caring, kind, loving, and funny person. She loved her family and would help any stranger if she was able. Doris was loved by many and will never be forgotten. Her presence will be missed dearly.

Doris is survived by five siblings, Celeste, Roosevelt, Rochelle, Kenny, and Stephanie; three sons, Matthew, Israel, and Malcolm; two grandchildren, Tiffany, and Jasmine; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives.

An interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 10:00 AM.
