Debra Yvette Thornhill , 63, of Ruther Glen, VA, formerly of Trinidad and Tobago, departed this life on December 29, 2023.

She was the wife of Martin Thornhill, mother of Anthony and Kirth Thornhill, grandmother of Marquel, Anthony, Daniel and Serenity Thornhill.  She was the daughter of Carl Millington and Eva Figaro (both deceased), sister of Janice Howe (deceased), Adrian and Anton Millington, Beckley, Ricky, Larry and David Hart, aunt of Kimberly Howe, nephews Derry Smith and Anton Millington, Jr. , and was also the niece of several aunts and uncles and cousins in Trinidad, Canada and in the US. Debra was a day care provider for more than 30 years and was employed at Avis Car Rental from 1995 up to the time of her death.

A viewing will be held at Mt. Jezreel Baptist Church, 317 N. Payne St., Alexandria, VA 22314, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S. Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306.
