Deborah "Deb" Gray Johnson , transitioned to her heavenly home on October 4,2022.

Born in Littleton, NC to the late Archie S. Harris and the late Alice A. Harris, Deb grew up in Harrisburg, PA where she attended Harrisburg High School. A graduate of Bennett College in Greensboro, NC, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She was employed by Northrop Grumman in Herndon, VA for 20 years.

Deb's Christian journey started at Godwin Memorial Baptist Church, and continued at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, both in Harrisburg, PA. Upon relocating to Virginia, Deb established her membership at Grace Church.

Deb was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball, and especially tennis. During March Madness, she could be found filling out her brackets along with her brother and nephews. She would often record tennis matches and you would have to verify that she had watched them before you could converse about a match, otherwise, she would give you the "look". She was also a champion at completing the most complex sudoku and jigsaw puzzles.

Left to cherish and honor Deb's memory are her husband of 34 years, Schenthal Johnson of Woodbridge, VA; sisters, Sylvia Carr (ML) and Rosilyn Harris; brother, Darwin Harris (Carmen); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Church, 17100 Van Buren Road, Dumfries, VA 22025, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Face masks are required.
