Darian Jamal Key , 31, transitioned to be with the Lord on May 2, 2022, at his home in Glen Allen, VA.

Darian was born on June 10, 1990, in Washington, D.C. to Deborah Young and LeRoy Key. He graduated and earned his diploma from Stafford High School in 2009. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors whether it was a game of basketball, soccer or cornhole toss. He was also great at playing video games. However, his most favorite activity was going to the Hard Times Café with his mom on Karaoke night. He would mimic Michael Jackson (his all-time favorite artist) in dance and singing. Darian was quite the entertainer and is now dancing and singing for Jesus.

Darian was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Key; grandmothers, Kathleen B. Key and Martha Peoples; uncles, Willie F. Key, Donald M. Young, and Columbus Lloyd.

Darian is survived by mother, Deborah Young, father, LeRoy Key (Maria), sister, Lorian Key, uncles, Arthur Key, and Edward Young; aunts, Mary Keys-Hall (David), Patricia Key-Lloyd, Addrene Cheshire (Oscar), Alice Macklin (Stan), Valerie Kirby (Calvin), and Loretta Young; and a host of other relatives.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408, on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service in his honor at 11:00 AM. The interment will be held at Culpeper National Cemetery, 305 U.S. Avenue Culpeper, Culpeper County, VA, 22701.
