Obituary

Cayden James Warren was born on December 15, 2013, God needed him most and called him home on November 11, 2025.

Cayden loved life and lived it to the fullest, while making a huge impact on so many people. He found joy and laughter in small things and was known for his sense of humor.

Cayden had attended Smith Station Elementary and was promoted to sixth grade where he attended Freedom Middle School. He loved school and was an honor student. Cayden also enjoyed seeing his classmates every day. He even got attached to his bus driver, Mrs. Lanecia Hughes. Mrs. Hughes really looked out for Cayden and would often send small toys home. We were all so proud of him and the young man he was becoming.

Most of all, his favorite pastime was his sleepovers with his cousins, Stella, Lucas, and Gemma. He influenced his younger cousins in so many ways, including drawing and video games. Cayden loved video games and would play regularly with his friends. He was a true artist and produced so many phenomenal drawings but would just shrug it off like it was no big deal.

Cayden was active and loved going to Skyzone with his dad and Funland with his mom. He would get upset if his mom beat him at any of the games, then they would inevitably end up laughing about it. He also loved spending time with his brothers, Easton and Elijah.

Cayden loved making everyone laugh and he had a contagious giggle that made you smile even when you wanted to be mad. We will all miss the fun times shared with him.

Cayden gave the ultimate gift by giving the gift of life to other children. His family decided to donate his organs so that other children could live. They knew without a doubt that it was what Cayden would have wanted. Five other families had children waiting as his family did the "honor walk" at VCU hospital. Although heartbreaking, it was a selfless choice that felt like it was the right way to continue Cayden's legacy.

Cayden was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, McKinley W. Frye; maternal great-grandparents, Mattie M. Ferguson, James S. Ferguson, Milton Frye, Sr., and Marybell Frye; his paternal great grandparents, Evelyn Ayala-Roldan, Otis T. Warren, Sr., and Virginia Warren.

He leaves to cherish his precious and loving memories, his mother, Jessica L. Frye Warren and her fiancé, Kenneth Johnson; his father, Daniel Warren and his wife, Corrine Warren; brothers, Easton and Elijah Warren; step-sister, Jessalynn Johnson; his maternal grandparents, Joycelyn Ferguson Woodward and Marshall W. Woodward II; his paternal abuela, Jean M. Ortiz and Patrick Handy, Darrell Warren and Sylvia Warren; his great grandmother, Fannie C. Woodward; his uncles, Christopher D. Frye and his wife, Grace I. Frye, Karon L. Woodward, Keith Warren and Michael Warren; and a host of great uncles, great aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
