Mrs. Brenda V. Jones , age 78, of Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Serenity Rehabilitation Center in Washington, D.C., leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Brenda was born in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, on November 27, 1947, to the late Albert Allen, Sr. and Lottie B. Allen.

Brenda was baptized at an early age and remained a devoted Christian throughout her life. She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wadesboro, North Carolina, as well as a local church in Bowie, Maryland.

She attended high school in Anson County, North Carolina, and Durham Business College. Brenda worked for the United States Government in Washington, D.C., for over 20 years before retiring. After retirement, she pursued her passion for travel by becoming a travel agent-allowing her to explore the world and help others experience that same joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Jones.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory her son, Timothy Beneal Allen; two siblings, Albert Allen Jr. (Robbi) and Darryl Y. Hamilton; two granddaughters; one grandson; one great-grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever remember the love and joy she brought into their lives.

A memorial service will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA, 22408, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
