Obituary

Brandon Wayne Wood , 27, of Dale City, VA, a beloved self-taught auto mechanic and race car enthusiast, passed away on March 11, 2025, in Stafford, Virginia. Born on March 4, 1998, Brandon lived a life full of laughter, love, and grease under his fingernails.

When Brandon was not covered in motor oil, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes with his best friend Justin, you could find him spending time with family and friends. As a young man you could find him on the racetrack with his grandfather Buck, uncle Kenny and his father Peter that undoubtedly passed down his love for working on cars and going fast. Memories from a young boy to a young man will forever be remembered at the local racetracks. Brandon was always pushing his limits and living life in the fast lane. His passion for cars was only surpassed by his love for his family. Brandon adored his daughters, nieces, and nephews.

Brandon will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious smile, unmatched skill under the hood and overall Mr. Fix-It. He may have taken his final lap, but his memory will forever be burned into our hearts.

Brandon leaves behind his two children, Kensley (4), and Scarlet (1); proud parents, Peter Wood and Wendy Wood; sisters, Brittany Stall (Jason), Jordyn Wood, Nicole Peters (Justin), Alexis Wood, and Daylinn Wood; his brother, Robert Newkirk; grandfather, Clifford "Buck" Wood (Rita); uncle, Kenneth Wood (Brenda); his partner, Destiny Williams; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives.

A viewing will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. The interment will be held privately.

God grant me the Serenity

To accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And the Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time,

Enjoying one moment at a time.

Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,

Taking, as he did, this sinful world as it is,

Not as I would like it.

Trusting that he will make all things right,

If I surrender to his will.

That I may be reasonably happy in this world

And supremely happy in the next.

Amen
