Obituary

Betty Jean Grant was born on October 25, 1934, to the late Watson and Mamie Beale. She was the youngest of fifteen children born to this union. Betty was preceded in death by all fourteen of her siblings. Though only God knows why He left her as the last surviving sibling, she carried their memories with her throughout her life.

Betty was united in marriage to the late Robert Grant Sr., and to this union one son, Robert Grant Jr., was born. Robert Jr. preceded her in death, and Betty remained deeply proud of him throughout her life.

During her working years, Betty was employed at People's Drug Store, Mary Washington College, and later Woolworth Drug Store, where she faithfully worked until her retirement.

Betty was known for her kind and compassionate heart. She was always willing to help others, whether they were family, friends, neighbors, or complete strangers. Her generosity, love, and selfless spirit touched countless lives.

A faithful woman of God, Betty attended the Church of God of Prophecy, where she served as a dedicated missionary. She loved the Lord and lived a life devoted to serving Him and others. One of her favorite passages of Scripture was Psalm 23, beginning with the comforting words, "The Lord is my Shepherd." Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life and sustained her through every season.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her two beloved granddaughters, Talaya Jovan Grant and Ebony Tierra Grant, both of Texas; several loving nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

A special acknowledgment is extended to her devoted nephew, David Beale, and his wife, Theresa Beale, whose loving care, compassion, and unwavering support blessed Betty throughout her later years. Their faithful caregiving was a true expression of love and family devotion, bringing her comfort, dignity, and peace.

Although Betty will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, kindness, compassion, and selfless service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her life was a beautiful testimony of God's love, and her memory will forever be cherished.
