Anthony "Tony" Maurice Wigglesworth, Sr. , of Temple Hills, MD, was born on April 6, 1966 to the late Robert Preston Lewis, Jr. and the late Lucille Wigglesworth.  He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.  He was 60 years old.

Tony is survived by his sons, Cortez Maurice Bates, Sr. of  Philippi, WV, Toraino Montez Bates of Fredericksburg, VA, and Anthony Maurice Wigglesworth, Jr. of Japan; grandchildren, Nevaeh Eura, Cortez, Jr., Kassidy, King, Ava, Zayden, and Koa Bates, all of Philippi, WV, Torriana and Noah Bates, Bakari Jones, and Anyana Adams, all of Fredericksburg, VA; siblings, Theresa Watkins of Chesterfield, VA, Cornelius Burrell of Richmond, VA, Teena Shelton of Spotsylvania, VA, Ronnie (Jeanette) Lewis of LaGrange, Georgia, and Sandra Theresa (Vinny) Bowen of Wilmington, NC; his special friend, LaShaun Hale of Temple Hills, MD; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at A. L. Bennett Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
