Alberta Lee Odoms entered this world on July 12, 1932, in Spotsylvania, Virginia to the late Ernest and Rena Upshur. On Thursday, October 1, 2024, with her devoted children, nieces, and nephews by her side, Alberta peacefully departed this life.

To know her was to love her. She was such a kindhearted and thoughtful person. She loved cooking for her family. Alberta also enjoyed shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Getrude, Bessie, Ernest, and Eugene Upshur.

Alberta leaves behind her seven children, Deborah (Upshur) Roberts, Brenda Odoms Lewis, Belinda Odoms, Odell Odoms, Leon Odoms, Donnell Odoms, Gwendolyn Odoms, and Lisa Odoms-Thomas; a son-in-law, Garry Thomas; daughter-in-law, Irma Odoms; granddaughters, Darcina Green (Wendall), Bella Roberts,  Arianna Roberts, Lindsey Odoms, Britanny Odoms, and Tammy Odoms; grandsons, Rickey, Austin, Jamal Lewis, and Leon Odoms, Jr.; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
