Evangelist Josephine A. Woodward, 73, of Spotsylvania, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital.

She was born July 22, 1939, in Spotsylvania to the late Thornton Armstead and Eva Holmes. She worked as a nurse's aide and was a member of Friendship Baptist Curch.

Evagelist Woodward is survived by her husband, Walter Woodward; Brothers Thornton and John Armstead; five children, Robert Robinson, Pandora Robinson, Zelda Hinds, Myra Robinson and Stephen Woodward; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 6030 Harrison Road, Fredericksburg, VA, 22407. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
